P.M.I. Comercio Internacional’s Board of Directors approved the appointment of Isaac Volin Bolok Portnoy, as the new general director of Petroleos Mexianos’ trading arm company, beginning June 27th.
He graduated from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de México (ITAM) with a bachelor’s degree on Business Administration, and then earned a master’s degree in Business from the University of Michigan.
The new director of PMI has a wide range of experience on restructuring firms and business units in difficulty to increase its profitability and strategically reposition them.
He has previously worked at several consulting companies such as AKYA and McKinsey, and at the investment management firm, BlackRock, as well as at the National Retirement Savings System Commission (Consar) and the National Banking and Securities Commission, where he held several senior executive positions.
He has received several academic awards, as well as the National Prize on Financial Research from the Mexican Financial Executives Institute in 1988.
