PETROPERU reports that German Velasquez Salazar presented his resignation as Chairman of the Board before the General Meeting. In addition Velasquez Salazar submitted his resignation as CEO.
Furthermore, at that board meeting it agreed to appoint Carlos Linares Penaloza as General Manager PETROPERU. For his part, he took Gina Vega Ponce de Leon as manager of the Chairman of the Board. During the administration of Velasquez Salazar, PETROPERU regained the positive trend in the management of its financial results, going to have a net profit of S / 503 million in 2015 (in 2014 the company recorded a net loss of S / 280 million). Moreover, as of May 31, 2016 PETROPERU net profits totaling S / 340 million.
Management Velasquez Salazar also fully complied with Law 30130, leading the modernization of corporate management ( "Petrotransformacion"), based on four pillars: new organizational structure, management performance indicators, construction new Talara refinery and improved internal and external communication. In this regard, the implementation of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project has an advance of more than 40%, ahead of schedule.
