Poland's dominant gas firm PGNiG may stop buying gas from Russian's Gazprom in the future, as a result of supplies diversification, the Polish company's Chief Financial Officer Boguslaw Marzec said on Friday.

"It may happen that we will be not buying gas at all (from Gazprom), we're in a diversification programme. Within four years we will have three main supply directions - from the East, from the LNG terminal, and from Norway," he also said.

Earlier this year Polish government official responsible for gas and power infrastructure said that Poland does not plan to renew a long-term gas supply contract with Russia when its current deal with Gazprom expires in 2022. (
