Salalah Plastic Project’s Trial Run to Start Next Month

A new project to produce woven sacks in Salalah is in the final stages of commissioning. Salalah International Plastic Industries (SIPI) will have a capacity to produce 48 million polypropylene woven bags per annum.

Salalah International Plastic Industries is established by Salalah Mills in Raysut Industrial Estate, according to a press release.

The project is in the final stages of commissioning and the trial run will be starting next month and expected to start its commercial production on January 1, 2017.

SIPI has state-of-the-art technology using high-end European equipment manufactured by an Austrian firm, Starlinger, who are the global market leaders in supplying such equipment. SIPI is managed and run by industry leaders who are highly skilled and experienced in the relevant field.
