Conference Connection and Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) have confirmed that the 25th Annual Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference (MPGC) will kick off on 30 April 2017 in Dubai, UAE. The three-day event will be held as part of a week-long focus on the global oil and gas markets called “MPGC Week 2017.”
After 25 years, MPGC remains the region’s longest running annual oil and gas conference, an iconic brand and a hallmark of excellence in thought leadership. MPGC 2017 is held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The official opening will be graced by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Energy, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman & Chief Executive of Emirates Group and co-chaired by H.E. The event will see a convergence of the global oil market’s leading NOCs, IOCs, Traders, Refiners, Petrochemical, Storage, Financial Institutions and Technology companies, in a confluence of dialogue, debate and business interactions at the highest level as the global and regional upstream and downstream oil and gas markets re-emerge from the recent turbulence.
MPGC 2017 discussions will focus on the global and Middle East oil and gas markets under the theme “Path to an Oil Market Recovery & Reaching a Sustainable Price” focussing on the recovery and rebalancing of the crude markets, high refining margins, supply and price prospects in the short and medium term with the re-entry of Iranian and Canadian production and the potential for a Middle East benchmark. MPGC speakers will also address the trends in LNG spot and contract prices, the wave of imports by DUSUP and KPC, with ADNOC as a new entrant in the LNG markets.
Despite the turbulence, opportunities are still abound for the oil and gas markets and MPGC 2017 is expected to critique the new and ongoing strategies for the global oil and gas markets.
MPGC 2017 is the anchor event of the Middle East Petroleum & Gas Week (MPGC Week), an established oil and gas platform for knowledge sharing and networking which will convene from 29 April to 4 May 2017. MPGC Week 2017 will bring together seven optional and synergistic conferences, executive briefings, and global workshops, running back-to-back in one location in one week for optimal learning and networking opportunities.
