McDermott International, Inc., awarded Frames a contract to design and supply a wellhead control panel and a chemical injection package for the Angelin project. The project is operated by BP Trinidad & Tobago (BPTT).
The Angelin project is a dry gas development plan within the northern Columbus Basin, located 40 km offshore Trinidad & Tobago’s east coast. The field is located in 65 m water depth and is planned to be tied back to the Serrette platform.
Cost effective safeguarding
The wellhead control panel (WHCP) will ensure controlled opening and closing of the Xmas tree valves in the event of an emergency shutdown or a process shutdown, whereas the production chemical injection package will protect and prolong the lifetime of pipelines and process equipment by injection corrosion inhibitor. Being supplier-independent, Frames was in an excellent position to select the best, tailored solutions. This has led to a very cost effective design for both packages.
