HOUSTON, TEXAS – Mustang Engineering announced that its Midstream Group has developed a new LNG storage tank design (patent pending) that is expected to save significant construction time. The new modular storage design, part of Mustang’s LNG SmartTM business model for small-scale LNG facilities supporting the development of remote oil fields, will have a smaller footprint (essentially no exclusion zone requirement), and is easily expanded to fit a client’s storage requirements. The concept offers reduced operating and maintenance costs for regas facilities and features full liquids containment with
pumps that are in, and vaporizers that are positioned above, the containment area. The modular construction further provides for continuous operation even if a tank is out of service, and the design provides for compartmentalization and inert blanketing for increased safety.
