The President of Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA), Eulogio Del Pino, held a meeting at La Campina PDVSA headquarters with Chief Executive Officer of Egypt's Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (ENPPI), Mohamed Hathout, to strengthen relations and discuss joint cooperation agreements.
Among other issues, they discussed the Domestic Market Gas Conditioning Plant (PAGMI), a major offshore gas exploitation project.
ENPPI carried out the basic engineering and procurement for the plant, and currently supervises its construction within the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Industrial Complex in the city of Guiria, Sucre state.
They also discussed the agreement signed by PDVSA and ENPPI for the training of workers on engineering design, procurement and development of gas projects.
To date, 67 professionals from the PDVSA Gas subsidiary have received training in Egypt in order to boost the processes of the national oil industry, specifically in the specialties of project control, processes, electricity and instrumentation, civil and mechanical.
The meeting led to greater cooperation between PDVSA and ENPPI and closer relations between Venezuela and Egypt, thus positioning ENPPI as one of the allies for the execution of various projects in the field of hydrocarbons.
