AMETEK Coining announced that it recently has completed A2LA accreditation and now offers analytical laboratory and failure analysis services to its customers. AMETEK Coining has operated an in-house analytical laboratory for many years, supporting the manufacture of solder and braze preforms, as well as stamped metal parts. The analyses are an important element of the manufacturing quality system, and ensure that the products conform to customer specifications.
The industry-leading analytical laboratory is staffed with material scientists and metallurgists with more than 100 years of combined experience and equipped with the latest generation of instruments to measure bulk compositions, trace impurities and bulk physical characteristics. All of the laboratory’s analytical equipment meets or exceeds ISO-17025 requirements for testing laboratories, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of test analyses.
“The services that we offer provide our customers with access to expert technical personnel and advanced instrumentation for timely and accurate material and chemical analyses. A2LA accreditation confirms the technical competence of our analytical laboratory and provides confidence to our customers in the analytical reports we produce,” comments says Maurice Mevissen, Vice President and Business Unit Manager of Coining Inc.
“An expertise in the manufacture and analysis of standard and complex material systems is what our customers have come to expect from Coining. We will continue to expand our analytical laboratory capabilities, allowing us to offer more value-added services to our domestic and international customers,” adds Mevissen.
