The development plan director of phase 13 announced 65 percent of progress for 13A’s replacement jacket, he said that this structure will be transferring to install on platform 13A' location this July.
Referring to the incident caused by the crash of Norwegian tanker with the platform's leg in SPD13A on April 2015, PayamMotamed stated "the security operations of well no.5 was successfully completed at that time by performing one of the most complex sea operations in a very hard condition and at the depth of 40 meters from sea level.
Subsequently the debris operation was started under the supervision of InsurerCompany that has hit 95 percent progress so far".public relations reported.
He added that given the incident before the delivery of the structure and its wells to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), all responsibilities for the process of obtaining damages, legal and contractual issues from the consortium of development plan of phase 13 is borne by the contractor and Insurer Company under the contract with the Norwegian tanker. Thus, a new jacket is being constructed by an Italian company and its main components are being assembled in the yard of UAE as requested byInsurerCompany. Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) has no responsibility in this regard.
Motamedpointed out that Insurer is obliged to repair damaged installations in accordance with pre-incidental conditions and also is free to refer to foreign and domestic contractors.
The official said that based on schedule and intensive planning, this structure has reached to 65 percent of progress at this time and will be transferred to install on 13A‘s location this July.
