On December 4, a ceremony was held in Bukhara, Uzbekistan to celebrate the commissioning of the first phase of Karakul gas fields, a project funded and implemented jointly by CNPC and Uzbekneftegaz.
The project covers three gas fields: Dengizkul, Khojadavlat and Sharky Alat, with a maximum design annual output of 1 billion cubic meters. The commissioning of the project will further deepen natural gas cooperation between China and Uzbekistan, and will be of great significance to promoting economic and social development in Uzbekistan.
