The first gas sweetening unit in South Pars Phase 13 started operation on March 20, 2018. The utility started operation on the anniversary of nationalization of Iran’s oil industry, receiving 7 million cubic meters of gas and injecting it into Iran Gas Trunkline (IGAT).

The total capacity of the utility is 15 million cubic meters.

Phase 13 of South Pars gas field is expected to come into full operation by March 2019.

Upon completion, the giant gas field will be able to supply 85 percent of Iran’s total gas demand up from the current 70 percent.

A consortium of PetroPayadar, MAPNA Group and Sadra is in charge of developing South Pars Phase 13.

MAPNA Group was responsible for design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and operation of turbocompressors in the project.
