BP and Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) today launched “Modernizing monitoring and evaluation e- infrastructure of CAERC” project.
The project intends to support the modernization of monitoring and evaluation e-infrastructure of CAERC through development of a sophisticated software. It will support CAERC in effectively processing the economic data which it receives frequently from 47 public bodies, including Ministries, Agencies and Committees.
The launch of the project follows the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BP and CAERC on 15 October. The memorandum sets out the framework for BP and CAERC to review and implement projects that would be in line with the commitments of both parties to supporting sustainable development in various economic spheres of Azerbaijan.
Speaking about the importance of the signing of the MoU and the project, CAERC executive director Vusal Gasimli said, “The key objective of this cooperation is to contribute to President Ilham Aliyev’s idea of ‘transforming black gold into human capital’. As our country’s long-standing partner, BP is making its contribution not only to the implementation of the oil strategy, but also to the post-oil era building. We highly value BP’s cooperation with CAERC in the areas of organizational development, innovative approach and application of international experience.”
Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, BP’s Vice President, Communications and External Affairs, Strategy and Region, said: “I am pleased to say that we are having a good start to our cooperation with CAERC by launching a project to modernize their monitoring and evaluation e-infrastructure. The signing of the memorandum and launch of this project are the evidence of our intent to have valuable cooperation in the future. As a good corporate citizen of Azerbaijan, BP has always been committed to supporting the growth and diversification of the economy and business in Azerbaijan. We constantly seek ways to bring a positive impact on the society and try to build sustainable and positive relationships with the communities in which we operate.”
