Having been sailed from SADRA yard, the second platform of phases22-24 was successfully installed. The satellite platform called 24A, weighing 2300 tons, was installed by the installer vessel HL5000. It will be implemented and commissioned in two weeks if weather condition allows, public relations reported.
The platform 24A will increase 14.2 million cubic meters a day to south pars production capacity. Last month, the same was carried out to the first platform of this plan namely 22. Now, it is operational and delivers its production to onshore refinery.
The operator of phases22-24, FarhadIzadjoo, declared the platform 24A made the highest amount of progress in terms of commissioning among those that had been shipped and installed so far in south pars projects.
To construct this platform, a variety of operations had been carried out such as 31000-inch diameter of plumbing, over 90 kilometers of electrical cabling and instrumentation, 3077 meters of tubing resulting from 2,700,000 man-hour of executive work, Izadjoo said.
All engineering stages including construction, installation, and exploitation were committed by Iranian experts. The bulk of goods as well as equipment required for this structure were supplied from domestic manufacturing resources.
Phases22-24 development plan is aimed at daily production of 56 MCM of sour gas, 50 MCM of methane, 2900 tons of LPG, 2750 tons of ethane, 75000 barrels of gas condensate, and 400 tons of sulfur. This project is run by a consortium including Iran marine industrial company (SADRA) and Petro Sina Aria.
