Managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) announced that 5 decks are installed and operated by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2020) saying that over 60 million cubic meters are added to production capacity of south pars gas field.
Mohammad Meshkinfam, referring to the statements of high ranking official of petroleum ministry in the opening ceremony of the 24th international petroleum exhibition on an increase in production capacity, described in details.
Reminding the operationalization of two platforms belonged to phase 14, he said phase14 has a favorable condition and the two remaining platforms are supposed to be operational in current Iranian year, as scheduled, each with production capacity of 14 MCM a day. Moreover, the first sweetening train would be operated until April 2020.
Managing director also referred to the official exploitation of two platforms of phase 13 in last March stating that the second satellite platform of this project will be exploited this year with daily capacity of 14 million cubic meters.
The installation of SPD13A, which was collided with Norwegian tanker, and its exploitation are postponed to next year having solved the problems related to the tripod and drilling wells. However, marine pipelines and the deck will be completed by the end of the current Iranian year.
Meshkinfam predicted that two other locations belonged to phases 22-24 will be ready until the end of summer. Sour gas output of the mentioned phases comes to complete capacity. Thus an increase of 60 MCM of sour gas will be realized from the joint field this year as oil minister promised.
