The President of Petrobras, Roberto Castello Branco, and the President of Uruguay, Tabare Vazquez, met, with the objective of seeking a definitive solution on the disputes arising from the concessions of Conecta SA and the Gas Distributor of Montevideo SA.The presidents have reached the basis of an agreement, by which:
a) The necessary administrative measures will be taken to close the concessions in force until September 30, 2019.
b) Both parties will take the necessary measures to put an end to pending disputes of any kind.
c) The Uruguayan State will assume the operations of both concessions through appropriate legal instruments, giving continuity to the services.
To implement the agreement, a working group will be formed with representatives of the parties involved, in articulation with the presidents.
