Successfully Installation of North Yaran Oilfield Downhole Pump

The operation for downhole installation and launching the first electric submersible pump (ESP) in Yaran oilfield has been carried out successfully. According to the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), Mohammad Ali Ajdari, supervisor of the North Yaran Oil Field Development Plan, said that the pump was installed in Well No. 4 of the field last month.

It is predicted that installing this pump will increase North Yaran oildfield production 1,000 barrels per day of crude oil, he said.

Azhdari said the pump’s performance was being fully monitored.

The field is located 130 km southwest of Ahwaz at a zero point in Houralazim area along the Iran-Iraq border.
