The national oil company SONATRACH and the French energy group ENGIE have entered into medium-long-term agreements for the sale and purchase of liquefied natural gas and natural gas by gas pipeline.
The parties represented respectively by Mr. Ahmed MAZIGHI Vice-President of SONATRACH in charge of the Marketing Activity and Mr. Edouard NEVIASKI, Global Energy Management Business Unit Director, signed the agreements in the presence of Mr. Kamel Eddine CHIKHI, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SONATRACH and Pierre CHAREYRE Deputy General Manager of the ENGIE Group.
Through these agreements, both parties confirm and consolidate the long-term partnership. SONATRACH will deliver volumes of natural gas in the form of gaseous gases entering the Transmediterranean gas pipeline, as well as liquefied natural gas (LNG), particularly at the Fos Tonkin LNG terminal in France.
These agreements will secure an outlet for Algerian gas in its natural market, which is in the current context of increased competition between the various sources of supply, one of the most rewarding markets.
