Kentz Wins ADGAS Contract

Kentz Corporation Limited, the holding company of the Kentz engineering and construction group, through its operating unit UTS Kent LLC, announced that it has been awarded a contract worth in excess of US$30 million by Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company Ltd (ADGAS), an Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Group company. The project consists of the replacement of the existing control system and associated electrical and instrumentation devices on Das Island.

The scope of Kentz’s work includes the design and detailed engineering, procurement, installation, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and transfer of the existing field instrumentation to a new control system for the ADGAS LNG, LPG, Sulphur storage and Jetty Loading facilities which will then be integrated into the existing systems of the three LNG/LPG processing facilities.

The design team has begun mobilisation and construction completion is scheduled for 2012.
