TDI-Brooks International, Inc. has successfully, and safely, completed a geotechnical coring campaign at Kings Quay. The coring program was export pipelines at 3 well locations; Samurai at Green Canyon 432, Khaleese at Green Canyon 389 and Mormont East and West well locations at Green Canyon 478.
There are three drill centers, Samurai, Khaleesi and Mormont connecting to a FPU at a central location. Each drill center has two flowlines and an umbilical tied back to the FPU, with export laterals to be tied into existing transportation pipeline systems. The purpose of the soil investigation is to identify the soil conditions and geotechnical properties in preparation for the design and installation of the flowlines, umbilicals and structures.
TDI-Brooks’ GoM / East Coast Vessel, the R/V Brooks McCall, completed Jumbo Piston Cores (JPC) with CPT Stinger companion sites, Piston Cores (PC) and Box Cores (BC). In 2019 TDI-Brooks completed a coring campaign at Kings Quay for Pinnacle / LLOG.
TDI-Brooks has conducted previous geotechnical projects for most of the deep-water developments in the Gulf of Mexico.
