Abengoa, the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructure, energy and water sectors, has been selected by the Chilean National Copper Corporation (Codelco), the world's leading copper supplier, to develop two projects for the improvement of its infrastructures in a containment dam for waste derived from the extraction of this metal (Tranque Ovejería) and miscellaneous works in the facilities located in the town of Til-Til, in the center of the country.

In particular, the first project consists of an expansion of the facilities, which includes the execution of the civil, hydraulic and electrical works necessary for the increase of the wall of the drainage system of the water tank (tranque), of 648 m.a.s.l. (meters above sea level), up to 656.

The second project involves the engineering and construction of a 23-kV medium voltage power line.

Codelco trusts Abengoa again for the development of large works, demonstrating the quality of the company's work. Abengoa has proven experience of more than 30 years in the mining sector. In addition, in Chile it has been present for more than 30 years responding to the country's energy and infrastructure needs in a sustainable and innovative way.
