Var Energi Receives Consent for Use of Island Constructor

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has given Var Energi consent to use Island Constructor for well intervention on the Balder field.

Balder field
Balder is an oil field in the central North Sea. Water depth in the area is approximately 125 metres. The field has been developed with subsea wells tied-back to the Balder production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO). The PDO for Balder was approved in 1996 and production started in 1999.
