There was a busy scene in the Colli of Tongjiang County, northeast Sichuan. Three exploratory wells including Well Ma 108 of the Puguang Branch of Zhongyuan Oilfield in the Tongnanba block were drilling.
After more than 10 years of efficient development, the Puguang Gas Field has accumulated more than 60 billion cubic meters of clean natural gas for the Yangtze River Economic Zone. However, as the formation pressure continues to drop, the replacement of natural gas resources is weak, and the difficulty of stabilizing production is increasing year by year. There is an urgent need to expand new positions for natural gas exploration and development. At the end of 2018, in order to implement the relevant deployment requirements of the group company, Zhongyuan Oilfield signed the Tongnanba block handover agreement with related companies, and the Tongnanba block was handed over to Zhongyuan Oilfield for operation and management.
The Tongnanba block is located in Bazhong City, with a prospecting area of ??1074 square kilometers, only more than 100 kilometers away from the Puguang Gas Field. After continuous development, the block’s daily natural gas production has risen from 60,000 cubic meters at the end of 2020 to 140,000 cubic meters. It is estimated that a new annual production capacity of 165 million cubic meters will be built within the year, becoming an important supplementary position for the Puguang Gas Field to increase reserves and build production.
The significance of block circulation is that different exploration and development teams have different research and development perspectives, and they can often achieve breakthroughs in the face of complex blocks. The Puguang Gas Field was finally discovered after half a century, with different geological exploration teams working in turn and continuous innovations in oil and gas geological exploration theories.
During the development of the Puguang Gas Field, they have formed a large number of landmark and strategic scientific and technological innovation achievements. They have won the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the National Quality Innovation Award, and the Group Company Science and Technology Progress Award; standardized oil company management mode is high-quality Exploration, high-efficiency development, and high-efficiency operation provide strong support; more than 100 doctoral and postgraduate research teams have become the backbone of the "no man's land" of high-sulfur gas fields.
The accumulated experience in technology, talents, management and other aspects of the Puguang Gas Field is the guarantee for the efficient development of the Tongnanba block.
Geological research is the leader in gas field development. By establishing and perfecting geological theory models, technology integration models, economic evaluation models, etc., the geologists of Zhongyuan Oilfield have continuously deepened their geological understanding, innovated exploration concepts, strengthened the rolling evaluation of the block, and strived to increase reserves and capacity, and build the Tongnanba block into a general light The resources of the gas field replenish the position.
At present, they have completed the optimization of 3 wells and worked overtime to formulate production enhancement measures for the old wells in the Tongnanba block. Currently, 3 wells have been implemented. This year, the oilfield will also deploy several directional and horizontal wells with a horizontal displacement of about 1,000 meters in the Tongnanba block.
The terrain of the Tongnanba block is difficult. The vertical elevation difference of the mountain where the gas well gathering pipeline passes by exceeds 200 meters, and the slope is mostly more than 60 degrees, making it difficult for large machinery to reach the construction site.
In late January, in order to convert the productivity of the drilled gas wells into production and to ensure the use of gas for residents in northeastern Sichuan, the Tongnanba Project Department of the Puguang Gas Field organized construction personnel to adopt the method of "ant moving", using bamboo baskets to move cement, sand, etc. The materials are carried back to the construction site to complete the task of pouring the concrete foundation piers of the external pipeline. The constructors tie ropes to their waists and carry pipelines on their shoulders to work on steep slopes. In the end, in just 15 days, they completed the task of laying and connecting the gathering pipelines of wells Ma 1 and Ma 7.
On the eve of the Spring Festival, wells Ma 1 and Ma 7 were put into production smoothly, and natural gas was continuously flowing into the pipeline. This is the first time since Zhongyuan Oilfield took over the Tongnanba block in 2018.
At present, the feasibility study report of the first phase implementation plan of the Ma 1 and Ma 2 capacity construction projects in the Tongnanba block has been approved by the Zhongyuan Oilfield, and the ground engineering basic design plan has also been completed. After the construction project is completed this year, it will effectively release the production capacity of old and new wells in the Tongnanba block.
"We will continue to carry out integrated operations with Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering Company to minimize the drilling cycle, drilling costs, and surface engineering costs of the Tongnanba block." Geng Xinzhong, manager of the Tongnanba project department of the Puguang Gas Field Said that they will continue to explore low-cost and high-efficiency development rules through rapid production construction to ensure that the target natural gas production capacity is formed throughout the year.
