Recently, Jiangsu Oilfield held a wind power generation and other project promotion meeting to accelerate the construction of new business projects and enhance the competitiveness of green and low-carbon development.

Since Jiangsu Oilfield launched the wind power project in September last year, relevant departments and units have been closely focusing on their business goals and actively carried out various tasks for wind power project approval. In accordance with the principle of "self-initiated and self-use, self-consumption", they drained some oil well sites or vacant land, and initially selected 31 well sites that met the requirements for fan site selection according to the specifications.

The oil field and the State Grid Yangzhou Power Supply Company signed a strategic cooperation agreement to use the land resources of the oil production well site to carry out distributed photovoltaic power generation project cooperation. Distributed photovoltaic power stations have the characteristics of easy relocation, low investment, and high rate of return. Calculated based on the installed capacity of 20 kilowatts of each power station, when the sun is sufficient, the electricity generated by a photovoltaic power station on the wellsite can meet the daytime power demand of an ordinary pumping unit, and the surplus electricity can also be transmitted to the Internet. As of March 9th, the oilfield has built 70 wellsite photovoltaic power stations and 61 grid-connected power plants, with an installed capacity of 1.7 megawatts.

In the future, the two parties will complete the construction of photovoltaic power stations at 500 wellsites in phases, with a planned total installed capacity of 10 MW. After the project is completed, it is expected to generate 10 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, save about 1230 tons of standard coal, and reduce the discharge of various pollutants by about 3,100 tons.
