Transneft Druzhba has completed scheduled works at the Kuybyshev – Unecha – Mozyr-1 oil trunk pipeline and the Kuybyshev – Bryansk, the Ufa – West, Section 42 and the Kuybyshev – Bryansk petroleum products trunk pipelines (PPTPs).
The works were carried out as part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme in Samara, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Tambov, Orel Regions to ensure stable and emergency-free oil and petroleum products transportation via Transneft’s pipeline system.
At the Nikulino and the Priboy line operation dispatcher stations (LODSs), specialists disconnected 2 mainline pump units (MPUs) which had reached the end of their service life. They will be replaced with equipment manufactured by Transneft Oil Pumps (Chelyabinsk) with increased efficiency and increased service life. Due to the high reliability of the MPUs, the costs on their maintenance are also reduced.
To improve the industrial safety of the facilities, 2 sampling devices were replaced at the process pipelines of the Stalnoy Kon LODS, 3 gate valves were replaced at the Ufa – West PPTP and the pipeline clean-up and inspection tools trap of the Nikolskoye-1 LODS.
Defects were cut out at the stations’ process pipelines and at the PPTP.
For the works, diesel fuel transportation via the PPTP was suspended as per schedule for 60 hours. The operating mode of the Kuybyshev – Unecha – Mozyr-1 OTP did not change.
By now, the pipelines are functioning under the normal protocol; transportation of oil and petroleum products is being conducted as scheduled.
