Lukoil Became Official Oil Manufacturer for German Brand Stihl

LLC LLK-International (100% subsidiary of PJSC LUKOIL) won the tender for the supply of lubricants to the Russian market for STIHL, which has been the world leader in chainsaw sales for the past 50 years. As part of its participation in the tender procedure, LUKOIL developed an exclusive formulation of oil for chainsaws, which received an excellent customer assessment.

LUKOIL has developed a unique chain oil formulation using high-tech Group II base oils of its own production and an exclusive additive package. Thanks to an effective combination of components, the STIHL chainsaw oil developed by LUKOIL has demonstrated high antioxidant, low temperature and antiwear properties in field and laboratory tests that took place over eight months. According to the test results, the wear of the working elements of the chains, where the new LUKOIL product was used, was reduced by an average of 40 percent compared to oils from other manufacturers.

The first deliveries of chain oils to STIHL in Russia took place in the second quarter of 2021. As the next stage in the development of scientific and technical cooperation, the partners plan to jointly develop special lubricants for STIHL small equipment.
