On 29.Jul.2021, PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C) participated in the contract signing ceremony for Gallaf Batch 3 Project – EPCI05 (Package 5) with North Oil Company, a joint-venture between Qatar Petroleum (Qatar) and Total (France). With the restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic, the contract signing ceremony was held online with the participation of senior representatives from the parties.

The Gallaf Batch 3 project is the next development phase of the Al-Shaheen oil field, located offshore Qatar. Al Shaheen is Qatar’s largest offshore oil field and one of the largest offshore oil fields in the world, which is operated by North Oil Company. The EPCI05 package is part of the Gallaf Batch 3 Project including 02 wellhead platforms with a total weight up to 19,000 tons.

PTSC M&C is awarded the main EPCIC contract for Package 5consist of detailed design, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, load-out, sea-fastening, transportation and installation, hook-up and offshore commissioning. All onshore works shall be performed at PTSC M&C's fabrication yard in Vung Tau City, southern of Vietnam. This commits to bring thousands jobs to local workers in the next 3 years.

Securing the Package 5 continues to be a proud achievement of PTSC M&C in its expanding strategies to oversea markets; especially in the context the global oil and gas industry has been going through the double crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic and the serious drop in oil prices. PTSC M&C has shown bravery and determination in participating in the tender with optimal solutions and competitive prices to win the bid against its competitors in the region.

PTSC M&C is also the main contractor for Gallaf Batch 1, which has successfully delivered 3 wellhead platform topsides to North Oil Company in mid 2020 despite the difficulties and challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic on a global scale since early 2020.
