Sinopec has conscientiously implemented the spirit of the important instructions and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on vigorously enhancing oil and gas exploration and development and ensuring national energy security. Increase the proven reserves of natural gas by 34.029 billion cubic meters, and the cumulative proven reserves of 10.61 billion cubic meters. This will further enhance Sinopecís clean energy supply capacity, help build 100 billion cubic meters of natural gas production bases in Sichuan and Chongqing, and make positive contributions to ensuring national energy security.
The Zhongjiang Gas Field is located in Zhongjiang County, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. The main gas reservoir is 2,000 to 3,000 meters deep and covers an area of ??404.9 square kilometers. It has the characteristics of low porosity, low permeability, and strong concealment. It is a typical tight sandstone gas reservoir. Through technical research, Sinopec has formed an integrated evaluation and other supporting key technology systems, which strongly supports the high-quality exploration of the Zhongjiang Gas Field. At present, the cumulative gas production of Zhongjiang Gas Field has reached 5.29 billion cubic meters, and the gas production has exceeded 1 billion cubic meters for two consecutive years, which is equivalent to meeting the daily gas demand of 5.5 million households each year.
The Sichuan Basin is rich in ultra-deep natural gas and deep shale gas resources, which will be the main front for increasing reserves and production in the future, but the detection rate is low, development and construction are difficult, and risks are high. In recent years, Sinopec Southwest Petroleum Bureau has successively tackled three major oil and gas exploration and development problems in narrow channel tight gas fields, ultra-deep high-sulfur gas fields, and deep shale gas fields. Currently, it has developed more than 20 major projects in the Sichuan Basin, including Yuanba and Weirong. Medium-sized oil and gas fields have produced more than 80 billion cubic meters of natural gas, with an annual natural gas production capacity of over 8 billion cubic meters, benefiting 8 provinces and cities along the Yangtze River, thousands of companies, and more than 200 million residents.
