ERIELL Group Implements Directional Drilling at Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye Gas Field

ERIELL NEFTEGAZSERVICE together with the customer Yamal LNG and the service company Schlumberger for the first time in the ERIELL group implemented directional drilling technology on well 4262 KP 26 of the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye gas condensate field at the well 4262 KP 26 of the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye gas condensate field, the technology of directional drilling on a casing string 245 mm:

- with a set of zenith angle of 45 degrees

- with the use of a retrievable BHA (RUS PowerDrive vorteX).

Rotation and circulation of OK-245 were carried out using the CRT device with drilling modes Q = 35-44 l / s; G = 2-12t; N = 80 rpm; M = 8-14 kN and working P = 186-215 atm. RSS programming was carried out by changing the number of VSP revolutions and changing the performance of mud pumps. Drilling under the technical casing was completed by reaching the target bottom of 1455m, followed by BHA extraction and cementing.

Pilot work was carried out in order to reduce the construction time of wells at the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye gas condensate field, which at the stage of drilling and fixing the TK-245mm section at well 4262 was 1.44 days.

In the future, this technology will make it possible to exclude the destabilization of the wellbore when unstable deposits of the Berezovskaya and Kuznetsovskaya formations are opened at a zenith angle of more than 45 degrees.
