Recently, Sinopec’s "Ten Dragons" research project-"Light Crude Oil Cracking to Ethylene Industrialization Pilot Project" was successfully put into operation in Tianjin Petrochemical and received the expected results, marking Sinopec’s creation of a technological leader And the world’s leading clean energy chemical company has taken a solid step. The industrial test is expected to take one month, and a variety of crude oil blending formula tests will be carried out successively, and simulation calculations and verifications of key process technologies and equipment will be done, and valuable experience will be accumulated for the formal industrial application of the technology.
This project is the first domestic industrialization test of Sinopec’s own new technology. The technical level is internationally advanced. After the industrial application, it will greatly enhance Sinopec’s ethylene technology competitiveness, effectively reduce the cost of raw materials and energy consumption of olefin production equipment, and enhance rapid adaptation to cracking. Ability to change supply and demand in the raw material market.
With the organization and coordination and strong support of the Group's Science and Technology Department and the Chemical Business Department, the project was jointly carried out by Tianjin Petrochemical, Engineering Construction Company, Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry and other units to carry out technical research. In order to make preparations for project construction and testing, Tianjin Petrochemical established a project research team to conduct special research on equipment modification and test plans to ensure safe and efficient project construction and scientific and reasonable test plans. During the construction process, Tianjin Petrochemical overcame the impact of the epidemic and completed the transformation of related equipment in only 5 months. During the test, special topics were organized every day to analyze and judge the operating parameters and inspection data, and continuously optimize the operation to ensure a successful test.
