The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of Maersk Drilling Norge AS (Maersk)’s management of emergency preparedness for Maersk Invincible on the Valhall field.

The audit was conducted from 13 to 16 September 2021.

The objective of the audit was to verify the company's compliance with the HSE regulations within the field of emergency preparedness at Maersk Drilling Norway AS and on board Maersk Invincible.

One non-conformity was identified, concerning emergency lighting in an escape route.

In addition, three improvement points were identified, concerning:
• Muster cards in the cabins
• Daily inspection of the helideck
• Training of the emergency response organisation on board

What happens now?
We have asked Maersk to report on how the non-conformity will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.

The reply deadline is set at 15 November 2021.
