- La Loma will have more than 400 thousand bifacial solar panels installed on an automatic system that turns and rotates with the movement of the sun.
- After installing the first solar panel, the Company expects to complete mounting all the photovoltaic modules within the first four months of 2022.
- The 187 MWdc project is located in an area of ??437 hectares and divided into 22 subfields.

Enel Green Power Colombia installed the first solar panel of La Loma, the largest solar park under construction in the country. The project, located in the department of Cesar, will have an installed power of 187 megawatts (MWdc), thanks to the more than 400 thousand panels that will be mounted on the 437-hectare site.

The installed solar panel has a dimension of 220 cm high, 103 cm long and 3.5 cm wide, in addition to an individual capacity of 460 watts (W) and state-of-the-art technology: it is bifacial, which means that it absorbs energy on both sides, and it is mounted on an automatic system of metallic structures called a tracker, which turns and rotates with the movement of the sun to capture its rays throughout the day and thus optimize the power generation process.

More than 400 thousand solar panels will be distributed throughout 22 subfields, in a solar area of around 370 hectares.

“In addition to the first solar panel, we are pleased to announce that to date we have installed more than 7,000 piles, a task that progresses at a higher rate day by day. Therefore, we expect to complete the mounting of all the modules within the first four months of 2022, thereby producing more than 420 GWh/year in the second half of 2022, thus meeting the needs of approximately 370 thousand costumers per year,” stated Adrián Dugulán, head of Business Development for Enel Green Power in Colombia.
