In all 10 municipalities where natural gas has ceased to be supplied by the sanctioned company Novatek Green Energy, they are again using blue fuel. On Friday, April 29, at around 5 p.m., the inhabitants of the Polanów commune were the first to receive deliveries from PGNiG. Just before midnight, the gas reached consumers in the Leba commune.
Solutions enabling the efficient restoration of gas supplies have been prepared in close cooperation between the companies of the PGNiG Group and the government administration. The Friday's order of the Prime Minister issued under the Act on Crisis Management allowed the PGNiG Group companies to act quickly, which on the same day launched deliveries to recipients previously served by Novatek.
On the basis of a decision containing an order from the Prime Minister issued pursuant to Art. 7a of the Crisis Management Act, Polska Spólka Gazownictwa has been obliged to provide services on the network belonging to Novatek Energy Sp. z o. o. On April 29, 2022, the President of the Energy Regulatory Office issued appropriate administrative decisions regarding concessions for their provision, and therefore gas fuel supplies were restored in the following municipalities: Ceglów, Kaluszyn, Lubien Kujawski, Lubowidz, Leba, Miescisko, Mrozy, Polanów, Zagórów, Zuromin.
After PSG contacted representatives of Novatek, the infrastructure and necessary documentation were released without any disruptions and in a good atmosphere. From now on, the infrastructure operated by PSG includes a total of over 85 km of medium pressure gas networks, to which gas is delivered in liquefied tankers and sent to recipients after regasification.
Fuel supplies are provided by PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny. Household gas consumers and other recipients entitled to tariff protection will be billed according to the PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny tariff, approved by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office. Recipients entitled to tariff protection under the Act on special solutions to protect gaseous fuel consumers in connection with the situation on the gas market, which entered into force on January 29, 2022, should submit a declaration of protection ( https://pgnig.pl/ochrona- tariff ).
Business customers, on the other hand, will be billed according to the Price List approved by the Management Board of PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny, and therefore also according to the same prices as other business clients of this company.
Recipients do not have to sign additional contracts. Pursuant to the provisions of the Energy Law, PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny will sign a reserve agreement or an ex officio sale agreement on their behalf, as a gas seller with the network operator, i.e. PSG. PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny will notify each client of the conclusion of such an agreement within 30 days of signing it.
