A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2022.
The parties reviewed the current issues of their cooperation.
In the course of the meeting, Alexey Miller and Sergey Sobyanin signed the Agreement of Cooperation between the Moscow Government and Gazprom on the development of gas, power and heat supply networks in Moscow.
The Company and the Moscow Government will place a core focus on expanding the gas transmission and distribution infrastructure. The primary goal of these efforts is to connect new consumers to gas in the city’s Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts.
To that end, Gazprom will build two new gas supply facilities in the Odintsovsky and Chekhov Municipalities of the Moscow Region: major gas distribution stations DCS-20 and DCS-21. Gas distribution pipelines will be laid from these stations to the borders of the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts. The Moscow Government will facilitate the construction of gas distribution networks in these administrative districts and their subsequent connection to Gazprom’s infrastructure. Special consideration will be given to the possible upgrade of the Novo-Nikolskaya and Yuryevka gas distribution stations (MOSGAZ-owned facilities) in the Troitsky Administrative District.
In line with the Agreement, Gazprom will also continue working on further development of generating capacities and heat supply infrastructure in the Moscow Region.
