The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information about the progress of additional gas infrastructure expansion in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation throughout 2022, namely the efforts for bringing pipeline gas to the boundaries of households at no cost to the population within localities already covered by the gas grid.

As of June 1, the Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion has received more than 853,000 applications. As many as 396,500 contracts have been signed and over a third of them (143,700) have been executed: gas pipelines have been laid to the boundaries of the applicants' land plots.

The pace of work is speeding up with the start of the active construction season (which is late April to early May in many regions). For instance, the regions where gas networks are being built by the gas distribution entities of Gazprom saw some 22,100 contracts executed in May this year. This is a 1.3-fold increase from April and a 2.2-fold increase from March.

Companies of the Gazprom Group closely cooperate with domestic manufacturers on supplies of components and materials for the construction of gas pipelines.

In addition, systemic efforts are being made towards the reconstruction and technical upgrade of gas distribution stations so as to generate opportunities for connecting new consumers.

Constituent entities of the Russian Federation provide certain consumer groups with compensation for the construction of gas pipelines within the boundaries of land plots and reimburse their expenses for the purchase of minimal essential gas equipment. However, citizens are often unaware of these benefits and the procedure for accessing them. Gazprom believes that a number of regions need to strengthen their awareness campaigns regarding social support for citizens. On its part, the Company continues to raise broad awareness about the advantages of additional gas grid expansion and the procedure for getting connected to gas networks.
