The Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail, received Member of Parliament for Basra Province, Sheikh Amir al-Fayez. During the meeting, they discussed ways to promote the investment, services, and infrastructures for Basra. They discussed also the role of petroleum industry in sustaining the economy situation for the province, and the ways to sustain national petroleum private sector in order to promote such sector and how to increase, expand, and develop its activity.
Furthermore, they discussed issues of common nature and community support which is presented by the ministry of oil and its affiliates for the people of Basra in coordination with concerned bodies.
