For a few months the Barracks of the Fourth Fire Company of Pocoihuén Alto (in Cochamó) had had their electrical connection interrupted, which had them without a formal or continuous supply, but the problem was finally rectified thanks to the project of repair and installation of a new system for the Barracks that was financed by Colbún as part of its constant contribution to this neighboring institution of its Canutillar Hydroelectric Power Plant, in Cochamó, Los Lagos Region.
“A new installation was made, with good material, everything more modern. It was worth the wait, because it was very good”, said the director of the Fourth Fire Company of Pocoihuén Alto, Tirso Marín.
For his part, José Viveros, Head of Electrical Maintenance of the Canutillar Power Plant, pointed out that "The project included the regularization of the electrical connection according to SEC regulations, resources for the new installation of the system and the connection with the Saesa line, with which The supply for this institution that provides an enormous service in the town of Pocoihuén Alto and its community is improved and guaranteed, which makes us very happy.

Along with thanking the disposition of the Colbún workers, Tirso Marín assures that they are now on good footing, and that their future challenges have to do with improving access to the barracks, in order to leave more expeditiously to attend to emergencies. "Internally in the institution there are some projects from other companies in the commune that have priority, but once that is finished we will be able to see how to comply with the regulations and improve this point of our barracks," he concluded.
Staff from the Central Canutillar shared with the Firefighters volunteers, in the start-up activity of the expected return of the electrical service in the barracks. In addition, on this occasion a galvano was delivered to the Colbún company in gratitude for its support with this important project for the Fire Station.
