Current Managing Director of APM Terminals Bahrain, Maureen Bannerman, will leave her position effective December 2022, as she moves back to Dubai (UAE) for personal reasons.
Maureen Bannerman has been at the helm of APM Terminals Bahrain since April 2021. During her tenure, along with the board and her team, she advanced a strategic and transformational agenda for the company and Khalifa Bin Salman Port, strengthened the management team, and developed and promoted existing talent.
She also spearheaded initiatives like the acceleration programme, which serves as an umbrella framework for two development programmes, targeting Bahrain’s logistics leaders of the future, as well as aspiring youth who are yet to enter the maritime business, supporting the country’s “Bahrain 2030 vision”.
“As Maureen leaves us for unavoidable personal reasons, I would like to thank her for the amazing work she has done as Managing Director in Bahrain. She further developed our exemplary collaboration with the government and local stakeholders and has strengthened the position of APM Terminals Bahrain as a key infrastructural facility”, comments Jonathan Goldner, Managing Director, Asia and Middle East at APM Terminals.
With Maureen Bannerman’s departure, Chief Financial Officer, Farooq Zuberi, will act as interim Managing Director until a successor is announced.
