Further to the capacity reservation agreement signed in March 2022, Dajin Heavy Industry has signed fabrication contract for the “Iles D’Yeu et Noirmoutier” Offshore Wind Farm in France (the “Project”) in November 2022. The contract secures manufacture and supply of all monopiles . Following Moray West Project, this is second monopiles project to be supplied from Chinese Tier 1 supplier – Dajin Heavy Industry to European Wind Industry and first to European Union.

Ocean Winds, a 50-50 joint venture between EDP Renewables (EDPR) and ENGIE, with 14 offshore wind projects from operations to advanced development in seven countries, is the major shareholder developing the Project.

Dajin Heavy Industry is largest worldwide offshore foundation fabricator with 1 million tonnes per year production capacity in China and expanding with local content contribution investments into Europe. In addition, Dajin developed European Project Management Team that will work hand-in-hand with the Project in France and Chinese teams.

Based on the above achievement Dajin Heavy Industry has acquired and is now developing a new 100 hectares fabrication yard in South of China and is planning a foundation facility in Europe. After the completion of both facilities, Dajin Heavy Industry will achieve an annual production capacity with 2 million tons. More importantly, the new facilities will focus on the foundation production for next generation turbines: Tripple XL Monopiles (15 meters diameter, 150 meters lengths, 5 000 tonnes weights) as well jackets and floating foundations.

"The second contract signing with Ocean Winds for the “Iles D’Yeu et Noirmoutier” delivery is a prove of the confidence coming from both parties that is also supported by the ongoing progress on Moray West fabrication. We are honored that we can support our Client on second very important project – another milestone in Dajin’s development strategy being largest foundation fabricator for worldwide projects.” said Mr. Jin Xin, Owner and Chairmen of Dajin Heavy Industry. “We are not only increasing our capacity and capabilities including solid steps for local content contribution but also our commitment is to deliver “green foundations” based on our own development of wind farms in China” he added.
