Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said cooperation and coordination continue among various state bodies in order to provide the necessary finance to ensure the supply of petroleum products; with a view to meeting the local market’s needs amid the current global crisis.
Madbouli made the remarks during his meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla.
Molla briefed the prime minister on his ministry’s efforts to supply petroleum products and the steps taken to increase the local production of them.
He also talked about endeavors to attract further investments into search and exploration activities.
Meanwhile, the minister pointed out to the trial operation of a smart treatment plant for industrial wastewater, the first of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East.
This plant contributes to producing petroleum, preserving the environment and fulfilling the outcomes of the latest UN Climate Change Conference, COP27, Molla said.
