The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of the follow-up of the surface programme and ageing at Kårstø, including a major accident audit. The audit was carried out from 30 November to 2 December 2022.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to ensure that Gassco has a coherent approach to its surface programme, corrosion under insulation and ageing, and that the implementation of maintenance in the company and at the Kårstø onshore facility complies with the regulations and the company's own requirements.
Result
One non-conformity was identified, relating to objectives and strategies.
An improvement point relating to measurement parameters and indicators was identified.
What happens now?
We have asked Gassco to report by 24 February 2023 on how the non-conformity will be addressed and for an assessment of the improvement point observed.
