Uptime International AS (UPTIME) has been awarded 2 firm and 4 optional contracts from Cochin Shipyard Ltd, India, for the supply of logistics systems to be included on their new build vessels for Pelagic Wind Services.

UPTIME’s comprehensive scope of supply consists of complete logistics systems for personnel and cargo, each consisting of an all-electric 30m autonomous gangway with integrated 3D crane capability, mounted on an elevator tower to ensure stepless access between vessel and turbines. A stand-alone high-capacity 3D crane will also be supplied as part of the system delivery. The project will commence immediately with deliveries scheduled from Q1 2025 and onwards. Contract value for each delivery is approximately NOK 100 million.

All vessels have been contracted by Pelagic Wind Services for worldwide operations. The CSOVs are designed and will be built to provide the highest level of operability and safety, while lowering fuel consumption and maintaining excellent seakeeping properties.

“Our next-generation KM UT5520MH CSOVs have been designed with special focus on sustainable operation, safety and efficiency, and we are pleased to work with Uptime to deliver and integrate their mission critical equipment” says Andre Groeneveld, CEO of Pelagic Wind Services.

“Cochin Shipyard Ltd. is delighted to associate with Uptime for equipping our latest CSOV project with their modern next generation all-electric motion compensated gangways. Cochin Shipyard look forward to work along with Uptime to provide the best solution to the customer.”, says Mr. Sivaram N, General Manager (Business Development) of Cochin Shipyard Ltd.

“We are very proud to be chosen as the logistics systems supplier for this flagship project, specially taken into mind the focus that has been given to ensure future-proof solutions for the entire logistics ecosystem and marks Uptime’s strong position in the Offshore Wind segment. We now look forward to collaborating with and delivering a successful project towards Cochin Shipyard and their customer Pelagic Wind Services,” says Hugo Øyen, SVP Sales & Marketing of UPTIME.
