Fertilizers Rank Second among Egypt's Exports with dlrs 2.7B

Public Enterprise Sector Minister Mahmoud Esmat said Egyptian fertilizers exports hit dlrs 2.7 billion, ranking the second among the 2022 exports.

He made the remarks, during the 29th AFA International Annual Fertilizer Conference which is held under the patronage of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.

Petroleum Minister Tareq Mulla attended the event alongside representatives for a number of heavyweight Egyptian, Arab and international companies operating in the fertilizers domain.

He said Egypt produces annually about 7.8 million tons of nitrogen fertilizers, 7 million tons of phosphate rock, and 4 million tons of phosphate fertilizers.

It ranks the sixth at the international level in producing urea and the fifth as the largest exporter.
