Greenvolt takes another step in its expansion plan and strengthening its position as one of the main players in the European market with the entry into the Greek market. In partnership with the Globalsat-Teleunicom Group, Greenvolt Next Greece aims to explore the high potential of distributed generation of renewable energy in this market.
Greece materializes the presence of Greenvolt Next Holding (a subholding of the Greenvolt Group) in new geographies, bringing to four the number of countries (Portugal, Spain, Poland and now Greece) in which it offers its distributed power generation solutions energy obtained from renewable sources.
According to João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group, “entering the Greek market is a crucial step towards establishing the company as a leader in the distributed generation segment, which will be an increasingly critical factor for the sustainability and diversification of the energy mix in Europe. To accelerate its development, the company has partnered with Globalsat-Teleunicom Group, one of the fastest growing economic groups in Greece with a deep understanding of the local market”.
Greenvolt Next Greece bases its activity on the development of energy generation projects through photovoltaic solar panels, for self-consumption, but also on the creation and management of energy communities and the management of a network of charging stations for electric vehicles. Distributed generation solutions will contribute to the decarbonization of the Greek economy but will also reinforce the competitiveness of Greek companies by reducing their energy bills.
Rubén Carvalho, Managing Director of Greenvolt Next Greece, adds that this is also a good opportunity to support the energy transition in Greece, since “we aim to take advantage of new technologies, as well as opportunities arising from digital transformation, by changing the way energy is produced, consumed, and shared in the Greek market”.
