Inženjering has successfully completed the rehabilitation of the Vacha-1 hydro power plant in Bulgaria, and the official completion of this project was marked by ribbon cutting ceremony attended by representatives of the Bulgarian power company NEK EAD, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and KONCAR - Inženjering.
The rehabilitation of the final hydro power plant on the Dospat-Vacha cascade began in August 2019, and took place in very challenging conditions, especially due to the global pandemic. It included the replacement of a part of the equipment at the 110 kV switchgear, delivery of new relay protection for the 110 kV and 20 kV plants, delivery of the hydro power plant control system, excitation and turbine governing systems for generation units No. 3 and 4, complete replacement of generation unit No. 2 as well as the installation, testing and commissioning of the delivered equipment.
