The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff is hosting an online town hall meeting on
vendor oversight on June 21.
The meeting, from 1-4 p.m. Eastern time on Microsoft Teams, is open to the public.
Those interested in participating must register through the town hall webpage. The town hall’s
aim is to foster dialogue among a broad variety of stakeholders, including members of the public,
licensees, applicants, industry organizations, and vendors of safety-related parts, materials, and
services.
The town hall’s topics will include the process for reporting product defects, the sampling
of commercial-grade items considered for use in nuclear reactors, and the future of electric
cabling qualification. Most of the meeting will be reserved for participants to ask questions to
NRC staff on vendor oversight-related issues. For more information, please contact
