The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of Equinor and the helideck at Statfjord A. The audit was conducted from 22 to 24 May 2023 with assistance from the Civil Aviation Authority Norway.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to ensure that the helideck at Statfjord A complies with regulatory requirements, thereby contributing to safe helicopter operations. A further objective was to verify the design and outfitting of the helideck on the facility, and systems and documents relating to its operation.
Result
We did not identify any non-conformities or improvement points in this audit.

What happens next?
We have asked Equinor for a response to our letter by 31 August 2023.
