ALRO and EGAT signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Data Exchange, Connectivity, and Integration. The MOU aims to link ALRO’s online land management system with EGAT’s data system of land rights management using digital technology, to enhance efficiency of the two organizations’ land management missions. This will facilitate faster processes in various aspects, including land permit applications according to regulations, compensation payments to farmers in land reform zones, and land utilization fees compensated to ALRO within the power grid network.
On July 25, 2023, Dr. Vinaroj Sapsongsuk, Secretary-General of the Agricultural Land Reform Office (ALRO), and Mr. Boonyanit Wongrukmit, Governor of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Data Exchange, Connectivity, and Integration at EGAT 50th Anniversary Building, EGAT Headquarters.
Dr. Vinaroj Sapsongsuk, Secretary-General of ALRO, said that the collaboration on data connectivity which covers land reform zone data, data on individuals authorized for land use, and data on land plots in the land reform zone connected by digital technology shows another step of development on data connectivity between the two organizations. This contributes to the ability to access to the current and up-to-date information and convenience for operating data-related tasks of the two organizations.
Mr. Boonyanit Wongrukmit, Governor of EGAT, said that the exchange of land data between ALRO and EGAT will facilitate EGAT to directly access information from ALRO’s database and reduce the time of document verification, leading to faster processing of land utilization permit. EGAT could also pay compensations to farmers within the land reform area and land utilization fees to ALRO correctly. Moreover, the data on EGAT’s power grid network across the country will help ALRO allot land plots for the farmers efficiently.
This collaboration aims to link the online land management system (ALRO Land Online) to increase the efficiency of data management and provide service to the public via ALRO’s online system. It also integrates with EGAT’s LAND AIMS, the land rights management data system, using digital technology.
