Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB ("SENS" or the "Company") announces today that the Company has signed a new land lease agreement with the aim of establishing a new battery storage facility in Motala, Östergötland county. This agreement runs until and including May 1, 2053 and aims to create a battery plant with a capacity of 30 MW.
As part of SENS' commitment to offering attractive and climate-smart energy solutions, the establishment of battery storage has become an essential component of the company's operations. Last spring, SENS communicated about the sale of one of Sweden's largest battery parks of 25 MW, which was sold to Axpo, Switzerland's largest utility. The deal was not only an official proof that SENS has the resources and competence to develop large-scale battery parks, but also confirmed the financial bearing of SENS's business model to develop large-scale energy projects, as the company had the pleasure to report a positive operating cash flow in the latest quarterly report.
Not longer than last week, SENS was able to communicate that a new land lease was signed around a potential 40MW battery, which demonstrates SENS' ambitions to continue to be a leading developer of large-scale battery projects.
Today, SENS announces that another lease agreement has been signed, this time with a landowner in Motala, Östergötland county. With this agreement in place, SENS will now begin the process of securing the relevant rights to construct a battery park with a capacity of 30 MW.
Henrik Boman, CEO of SENS, comments:
"This new land lease agreement marks another step forward in our ongoing development. This is a clear signal of SENS' strong momentum when it comes to establishing battery storage facilities in Sweden. Our successful collaboration with landowners and stakeholders demonstrates our ability to drive these projects forward. We look forward with confidence to continuing these dialogues and look forward to maintaining this momentum."
