MITECO has issued favorable environmental impact statements for some wind farms whose construction will require around 500 million. The Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has issued favorable environmental impact statements for fourteen wind farms planned by Forestalia in the municipalities of Caspe and Alcañiz , in the Aragonese provinces of Zaragoza and Teruel . In total, the environmentally compatible facilities have an installed power of 390 megawatts (MW), and will require an investment of almost 500 million euros.

As a result of the consultations and reports issued during the procedure, Forestalia proposed relocating 13 wind turbines, to reduce or eliminate conditions. MITECO considers a total of 65 positions environmentally compatible, and discards another 20.

None of the planned facilities are located in the Natura Network . A total of 32 wind turbines must be equipped with bird detection systems and automatic stops. All projects have permission to connect to the Electrical Network at the Can Jardí electrical substation (Barcelona) .

Realities for rural areas
Forestalia is a group dedicated to the promotion and construction of renewable energy projects (wind, photovoltaic, electricity generation through agroforestry biomass and pellet production), which was a pioneer in promoting clean energy without premiums or public subsidies. Its vision of social responsibility is committed to obtaining decarbonized energy , and is especially aligned with the rural environment, where Forestalia has offered free electricity supply in a hundred municipalities where it develops its projects.

Growing own portfolio
Forestalia has a growing portfolio of its own in operation and construction, which plans to reach an installed power of 1.2 gigawatts for direct management in the coming years. Forestalia also develops projects that will contribute to achieving the objectives of deploying clean energy in territories with high industrialization, such as Catalonia , the Basque Country or the Valencian Community . These projects total around 8 GW and have already obtained, for the most part, a favorable environmental declaration from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition (MITECO).

On the other hand, among the projects promoted and developed by Forestalia for construction and operation by other operators, the parks of Repsol , Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) , LightSource BP and Bruc Management stand out , which total more than 4 GW.
